The 4th and 5th graders and their families did a great service project on February 27th with Kids Against Hunger! They measured, weighed, and packaged 4,362 meals of Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal with some soy protein that won’t expire until February 27, 2026. The meals are served worldwide after tragedies strike, such as after our most recent blizzard, a hurricane, or tornado. Somewhere, at some point, someone will really appreciate the meals we made. The meals were tasty too! The kids enjoyed wearing the hairnets! 😄 Thank you to Tiffany Beukelman for her Thrivent donation, all those who donated either by buying a hat from Donna Stolz, dropping money into the Tide box, or through Venmo! Our costs were covered! Ryan Kolbeck Service Project Coordinator
