Generosity Week

Next week marks the start of JHS’s annual Generosity Week, a tradition that brings our school community together to share the holiday spirit and support those in need. As we head into winter break, students and staff are invited to take part in three festive activities that make a meaningful difference.

The excitement begins with our all-week Change Wars by the front doors—Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Staff competing for bragging rights and a great cause. Fill your own jug with coins to boost your total, and drop cash into another group’s jug to sabotage their score. All money collected goes directly to the Cavalier Closet, helping JHS students and families during the holidays.

Change WarsOur Cavalier Tree returns as well, in partnership with JAG and LifeScape. On the front windows you’ll find ornaments labeled with holiday wishes from 20 individuals served by LifeScape. Pick an ornament, shop for the item, and return it unwrapped to the Change Wars table by Friday. Each gift helps make the season brighter for children and adults with disabilities.

Generosity WeekTo top it all off, we’re celebrating with themed dress-up days all week:

Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Movie Character Day (Elf, Grinch, Frosty, and more)
Wednesday: Ugly Sweater Day
Thursday: Day at the Slopes
Friday: Class Colors—Freshmen & Sophomores wear red, Juniors & Seniors wear green, and staff may choose either color.

Dress Up DaysThank you for helping JHS spread generosity, joy, and community spirit. Together, we make the holidays brighter for everyone.
